Coquet Partnership Extended Services work within a partnership of 11 schools ranging from Widdrington to Amble. there are eight First schools, two Middle schools and one High school in the partnership.
Extended Services work all year round to provide a wide range of activities and workshops for children, young people and their families who live in the community. These activities and workshops offer a variety of opportunities to help raise aspirations and enable everyone to reach their full potential.
All of these activities contribute towards the full core status of Extended Services.

National Family Week - Where the North East meets the Far East
To celebrate National Family Week a series of activites have been arranged from 25th May 2010 to 18th June 2010. Activities include traditional Northumbrian dancing and singing, local food and local traditional crafts alongside Chinese cookery demonstrations and Chinese arts and crafts.

Community Week of Action
As a follow up to the successful week of action held in Amble in October 2009, during the first week of the school Easter holildays (2010) Extended Services held three days of activities for all ages. Over eighty five young people took part in a wide range of activities. Arts and Craafts with resident artist Elaine Porter, a community litter pick organised by community wardens as part of 'the Big Tidy up', a community football session run by Positive Futures and a free play event organised by Kate Hunter former Play Officer for Northumberland County Council.

Kielder Festival of Light (March 2010)
On 20th March Extended Services took 48 young people and their families to Kielder Water to be part of the Kielder Festival of Light. The young people were identified as gifted and talented through art and design and attended both Amble Middle and Druridge Bay Community Middle Schools. Pupils from Coquet High School were invited to take part as an after school activity.
Prior to the Festival, artistic group Dodgy Clutch ran lantern workshops at Amble Middle, Druridge Bay Community Middle and Coquet High schools offering the young people the opportunity to create and design individual lanterns. These were featured during the lantern procession.
