BERWICK PARTNERSHIP
Berwick Partnership Extended Services are working together with members of the local community within the private, statutory and voluntary sectors to develop and deliver a variety of opportunities for young people and their families to raise aspirations and enrich learning together.
Over the last year a variety of activities have been made available across the partnership. Activities ranging from Robot building, dog agility, K’nex family days and breakfast clubs.
Parents have had the opportunity to take part courses such as Understanding Teenagers and Feeling Fine with five to nine year olds.
Future plans include extending the range of family and parent learning opportunities along with more activities for our young people.

Peer mentors
Student peer mentors from year 12 and 13 made a significant contribution to the High School achieving the first Anti Bullying Accreditation Award in the county. Training to be a peer mentor involves two hours per week after school for six months. The training is lead by Paula Clegg and outside agencies such as CAMHS.
The peer mentors have also assisted in the delivery of Dove Self Esteem sessions with year 9 students. Plans for the future include rolling out training for year 11 students and to help local Middle schools set up similar systems.
